KinaSiyumki “Kina” Kimble is an attorney, professor and budding entertainment persona.  Her law office Kimble & Associates, P.L.L.C. offers legal services and consultation in the areas of Corporate, Non-Profit, Business Organization, Intellectual Property, Copyright, Entertainment, Civil and Criminal Law.  Kina is an adjunct professor within the Clinical Education Department at Southern University Law Center where she teaches Criminal Law.  She is also an Assistant Public Defender.

Kina, a native of Louisiana, attended Grambling State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies.  Subsequently, she attended Southern University Law Center where she was a member of the Law Review Board, the Moot Court Board and an assistant to professors in the areas of Federal Civil Procedure, Family and Criminal Law.  She graduated with honors from both undergraduate and law schools.  Kina has been a legal professional in many capacities: as a paralegal, both a state district court and a federal court law clerk, a staff attorney for a legal aid corporation as well as a consultant for non-profit organizations.  She also serves as a hearing committee member for the Louisiana Disciplinary Board.

Prior to her completion of law school, Kina dreamed of building a career in the music industry. After a successful reign as an attorney, she could not resist the music within her soul.  Consequently 2014, using the pseudonym Kina Kaye (a twist on Kina K.), Kina released her first R&B/Pop single called “Think About That.”  The song can be heard on radio stations across the nation. The soulful maven has performed in night clubs, lounges, churches, award ceremonies and concerts.  Kina has been musically inclined since early childhood, having performed vocally in community, church, primary school and university choirs and ensembles.  She enjoyed singing competitively as well.  It was through her exposure to vocal training and piano lessons that Kina developed a passion for songwriting.

Naturally, she attributes much of her lyrical content and creativity to life experiences.

Kina is a humanitarian at heart.  Her hard work does not end after the courtroom, the classroom or the studio.  She equally gives her time as an active director and committee chair to public service organizations.  On behalf of her affiliated charities, Kina has been successful in obtaining grants from private foundations and major corporations such as Exxon, Entergy and Target for after-school tutoring, mentoring, and youth summer camp programs.  She has facilitated and hosted several legal panels that give access to legal resources and professionals to less fortunate persons.  Kina is currently organizing the T.A.T. Foundation, a non-profit clearinghouse that will offer legal resources, counseling and mentorship among other services to address domestic violence and teenage parenthood.

When she is not litigating in the courtroom, teaching in the classroom or composing vocal arrangements, Kina enjoys being an avid supporter of her son.  She is the loving mother to Odell Kimble, II, and a doting aunt to her niece Aaniyah and her nephews Jayland and Tray, Jr.  Kina has enjoyed having pets her entire life.  Presently, she has an adorable white Maltese-Shih tz named Pebbles.
